TORONTO, Sept. 08, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Lahontan Gold Corp. has bolstered its technical, engineering, and business development teams with the addition of three key professionals. The company is pleased to welcome Tony Gesualdo, Michael Kubel, and Jen Earle to its management team as it transitions from a mine developer to a mine builder and operator.

Tony Gesualdo, who returns to Lahontan Gold as Vice President, Exploration, brings extensive experience in the mining and exploration sectors. Gesualdo, a structural and economic geologist, has held roles with Coeur Mining, OceanaGold, Barrick, and several junior exploration companies. His tenure with Lahontan Gold from 2020 to 2023 saw him significantly contribute to the development of the initial Mineral Resource Estimate for the Santa Fe Mine project. Gesualdo's return to the company in a senior leadership role adds significant geological and exploration expertise as Lahontan advances the Santa Fe Mine project and evaluates opportunities to expand its resource base.

Michael Kubel, Senior Mine Engineer, brings over a decade of hands-on experience in Nevada open-pit gold mining and heap-leach processing. Kubel's career includes work at the Florida Canyon and Hycroft open-pit gold mines, where he was involved in mine planning, engineering, and operational expertise. His practical experience will be crucial as Lahontan moves from permitting and mine planning toward construction and eventually operations.

Jen Earle, who joins Lahontan Gold in the role of Investor Relations & Business Development, brings two decades of experience in the natural resources sector. Earle has extensive expertise in investor relations, capital markets, and strategic investor engagement. Her career spans both junior mining companies and a FTSE 250 oil and gas company, providing a broad understanding of the natural resources and international capital markets sectors. Earle's global network and experience across the London Stock Exchange, Australian Securities Exchange, and Toronto Stock Exchange markets will strengthen Lahontan's ability to communicate its strategy and growth opportunities to both institutional and private investors.

Kimberly Ann, Founder, Executive Chair, CEO, and President of Lahontan Gold Corp., expressed enthusiasm about the new hires. "We are very pleased to welcome Jen Earle and Michael Kubel to the Lahontan team and to welcome Tony Gesualdo back to the Company," she said. "As we advance permitting for the Santa Fe Mine and target a restart of production in 2027, we are building the technical, operational, and business development capabilities required to take the Company into its next phase of growth."

Lahontan Gold Corp. is a Nevada-focused mine development company advancing a portfolio of four gold and silver projects in mining-friendly Nevada’s prolific Walker Lane. The company's primary focus is the restart of its flagship Santa Fe Mine project, with a targeted return to production in 2027. The Santa Fe Mine, which operated from 1988 to 1995, produced 359,202 ounces of gold and 702,067 ounces of silver. The current Mineral Resource Estimate for the Santa Fe Mine includes an Indicated Mineral Resource of 1,195,000 ounces of gold equivalent and an Inferred Mineral Resource of 1,190,000 ounces of gold equivalent, both pit constrained.

Lahontan Gold Corp. is currently working on several objectives for 2026, including completing an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment for the Santa Fe Mine, advancing mine permitting activities, conducting exploration drilling at Santa Fe, and evaluating the potential for reprocessing historic heap-leach pads. These efforts aim to position the company for a successful return to production in 2027.
