LaborForce Media, a media company focused on labor unions and working people, has launched a new daily radio and podcast program called "Partners in Labor with Rick Smith." The series aims to explore the relationships behind issues such as healthcare, benefits, financial security, organizing, workforce development, workplace safety, and workers' rights.
Rick Smith, a veteran labor broadcaster and host of The Rick Smith Show, will lead the new program.
The program will feature conversations with union leaders, union members, their families, vendor partners, union employer groups, elected officials, advocates, and others who support labor unions.
"Partners in Labor" will be available through major podcast listening platforms. It will complement LaborForce Media’s existing programs, including The Daily Jolt with Rick Smith, a daily radio show and podcast launched on Labor Day 2026. The Daily Jolt focuses on the issues shaping working America, bringing a labor perspective to conversations about wages, healthcare, retirement, workplace protections, and economic opportunity.
The launch of "Partners in Labor" also aligns with LaborForce Media’s commitment to preserving labor history through Labor’s 9/11 Legacy, hosted by Arthur Aidala. The podcast series examines labor’s role in the response and recovery after the September 11, 2001, attacks.
The initial collection of "Partners in Labor" interviews is now available. Listeners can explore the series at https://shows.acast.com/partners-in-labor-with-rick-smith. LaborForce Media is also inviting suggestions for future guests, encouraging union leaders, members, family members, employers, service partners, public officials, and other supporters of labor to share their connection to unions and suggest a subject for a conversation with Rick.
"Partners in Labor with Rick Smith" is part of LaborForce Media’s broader platform, which includes news, podcasts, video, events, email, social media, and strategic partner campaigns. The company is dedicated to connecting unions, workers, labor leaders, benefit decision-makers, and mission-aligned organizations with timely content and trusted labor-market visibility.
