LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The LA County Jobs First Collaborative today announced the official release of the Legacy Blueprint, a comprehensive strategic roadmap designed to sustain the regional infrastructure, cross-sector relationships, and economic development priorities built through Governor Newsom's economic and workforce development initiative, California Jobs First. The Collaborative, which was formally inaugurated its expanded, 21-member Investment & Sustainability Advisory Committee (ISAC) today, has transitioned from a 15-member advisory group into a regional body with nearly every corner and pillar of Los Angeles County represented. The ISAC is co-chaired by Kellie Todd Griffin, the founder and CEO of the CA Black Women's Collective Empowerment Institute, and Libby Williams, the Chief Development Officer at the Los Angeles Local Development Corporation (LA LDC).
The Legacy Blueprint, which was developed through eight months of rigorous research, ISAC planning meetings, and collaborative working groups, captures the lessons and impact of the initiative's Planning, Catalyst, and Implementation phases. It delivers actionable recommendations across long-term governance, regional investment, funding sustainability, policy advocacy, industry strategy, and ongoing partner engagement. The publication serves as a practical guide to ensure that the momentum generated by the coalition outlasts individual grant cycles.
The LA County Jobs First Collaborative, which engages more than 800 partners spanning community-based organizations, labor, industry, K-16 education, workforce development, government, and philanthropy, is a cross-sector network working to advance an inclusive, sustainable, and resilient economy that expands access to quality jobs, economic mobility, and entrepreneurial opportunity. Bringing together over 800 partners, the Collaborative connects local priorities with strategies that strengthen industries, support workers, and drive sustainable economic growth across Los Angeles County.
