Kvika banki hf. purchased 4,000,000 of its own shares on the week of 36 for a total of ISK 52,975,000, in line with its share buy-back program announced on July 3, 2026. This acquisition brings the total number of shares repurchased under the program to 37,736,460, equivalent to 0.704% of the company’s issued shares. The total cost of these transactions stands at ISK 408,999,959.
The buy-back program, authorized by the bank’s Annual General Meeting on March 18, 2026, is designed to repurchase up to ISK 2,000,000,000 worth of shares or up to 200,000,000 shares, whichever limit is reached first. The program will remain active until April 30, 2027, ensuring that the bank can continue to manage its capital structure according to its strategic objectives.
The transactions are subject to compliance with the Act on Public Limited Companies No. 2/1995 and the European Parliament and Council Regulation No. 596/2014 on market abuse, as well as the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052 on regulatory technical standards for the conditions applicable to buy-back programs and stabilization measures.
