Kratos awarded $20M contract for mobile SATCOM gateways in Asia

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 01, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has been awarded a significant contract worth over $20 million to deliver mobile satellite communication (SATCOM) gateways for a defense customer in Asia, marking a substantial step in the company’s efforts to bolster secure communications for military operations.

Kratos will deploy its rapid-deployable, truck-mounted Trifold® transportable antennas as part of the system. These antennas are designed for quick setup and can be discreetly transported on short notice, ensuring that warfighters can maintain real-time situational awareness and access mission-critical data regardless of their location.

The turnkey system includes a shelter containing baseband platforms and advanced monitoring software. Kratos’ Compass® product will manage and control mission-critical networks, while its Monics® product will monitor spectrum and detect interference, creating a robust and resilient mobile gateway tailored for defense operations.
