SEOUL, SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, October 8, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The Literature Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea) is presenting a significant presence at the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2026, a major international book fair, with the aim of introducing Korean authors and literature to an international audience. The fair, which runs from October 7 to October 11, will feature the work of fourteen Korean authors, including Bora Chung and Kim Cho Yeop, who will engage in conversations and readings with publishers and readers from around the world.

The program, organized under the Korean Literature Overseas Expansion Package, will showcase the work of these authors alongside an exhibition of Korean literature in translation. This exhibition will feature titles that have won or been shortlisted for major international literary prizes, such as Kim Hyesoon's "Autobiography of Death" and Han Kang's "We Do Not Part," reflecting the growing recognition of Korean literature on the global stage.

The Korea Pavilion, located in Hall 5.1, B143, will serve as the focal point for this event. LTI Korea is jointly organizing the pavilion with the Korean Publication Industry Promotion Agency and the Korea Creative Content Agency. The pavilion will present a wide selection of Korean literature in translation and LTI Korea's English-language quarterly, Korean Literature Now (KLN).

At the Korea Pavilion, visitors will have the opportunity to attend literary events, including author conversations, readings, and Q&A sessions.

LTI Korea's President, Jeon Soo-yong, emphasized the importance of the Frankfurter Buchmesse as an opportunity to introduce Korean authors and their work to publishers and readers worldwide.

The Korea Pavilion's shared slogan and key visual, "Crossroads of Stories," will highlight the diverse and interconnected nature of Korean literature and content, spanning fiction, the humanities, picture books, web novels, and webtoons. On the second day of the fair, October 8, the pavilion partners and the Korean Cultural Center in Germany will co-host a networking reception for literary professionals and publishers from Korea and abroad.

This event at the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2026 represents a significant step in promoting Korean literature and authors to an international audience, fostering new collaborations, and celebrating the rich literary tradition of Korea.
