Key Takeaways from IFA 2026 on AI and Personalised Wellness Technologies

At the International Fair of Audiovisual and Consumer Electronics Products (IFA) 2026, the focus on beauty and wellness technology shifted towards a more integrated digital environment. Wearables, cameras, and body assessment systems collected data on sleep, recovery, and physical indicators, which apps then used to personalise content and recommendations. This shift was highlighted by Egor Rubtsov, the founder and CEO of CM MentalGrowth Ltd, who attended the fair to explore new products and share insights with industry professionals.

Rubtsov noted that the Beauty Tech & Wellbeing area at IFA showcased how technologies once reserved for specialist treatments were now moving into everyday home use. A dedicated Beauty Hub served as an interactive lab where visitors could try skincare devices, LED masks, and other beauty-tech products. The format demonstrated the growing integration of these technologies into daily life.

The session examined how various metrics such as sleep, steps, recovery, readiness, biological age, and skin condition were increasingly being turned into digital scores.

CM MentalGrowth, a company founded by Rubtsov, has built seven B2C apps across health, fitness, and wellness, generating over 2.5 million iOS installs and reaching more than 8 million users on the web. The company works with both direct user data and behavioural and progress data generated within its products. Rubtsov pointed to Mimika, a digital wellness product developed by CM MentalGrowth, as an example of their approach. Its scoring and AR-based facial movement analysis work behind the scenes, helping to assess how exercises are performed and tailor recommendations without overwhelming the user with technical metrics.

Rubtsov emphasized the need for wearables to move beyond mere data collection.

The shift towards connected wellness systems also raises a commercial question. Independent developers may understand specific user needs more deeply and be better placed to build focused, user-friendly products. However, their future may depend on whether they can work with data generated by wearables and connected devices.

The release concludes with a summary of Oceanic Iron Ore's focus on the development of its flagship Hopes Advance Project, which has a NI 43-101 Measured & Indicated resource of about 1.36 billion tonnes at a head grade of 32.1% Fe.
