Karyopharm grants RSUs to new employees under 2022 Inducement Stock Incentive Plan

NEWTON, Mass., Sept. 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Karyopharm Therapeutics, a leading pharmaceutical company developing innovative cancer therapies, has announced the issuance of 1,850 restricted stock units (RSUs) to two newly onboarded employees. The RSUs were granted under the company’s 2022 Inducement Stock Incentive Plan, as amended, as an inducement for the new hires to join the team.
The RSU awards, effective as of August 31, 2026, are structured to vest over a period of three years. One-third of the shares will become vested on each of the three consecutive anniversaries of the grant date, contingent upon the employees' continuous service with the company. This strategy aligns Karyopharm’s incentives with the retention of key talent, critical for the ongoing development of its novel therapies.
Founded in Newton, Massachusetts, Karyopharm Therapeutics has been at the forefront of pioneering nuclear export inhibition as a therapeutic approach. Its flagship product, XPOVIO® (selinexor), is a first-in-class inhibitor of exportin 1 (XPO1), approved for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma in the U.S. and in over 50 countries globally. The company continues to explore the potential of XPO1 inhibition in hematological cancers, with ongoing trials focusing on its use in myelofibrosis. Additionally, Karyopharm is investigating the application of next-generation compounds, such as eltanexor, for the treatment of myeloproliferative neoplasms.
“Karyopharm’s commitment to driving innovation in cancer therapies is reflected in our strategic approach to talent acquisition and retention,” said Dr. John Doe, Chief Executive Officer of Karyopharm Therapeutics. “These inducement grants are designed to ensure that we can continue to attract and retain the brightest minds in the field, crucial for advancing our pipeline and bringing new therapeutic options to patients.”
With an established commercial infrastructure and a robust pipeline of potential treatments, Karyopharm remains dedicated to delivering novel therapeutic options to those affected by cancer. The company’s focus on scientific excellence and patient-centered innovation underscores its position as a leader in the oncology space.
