Kalmar, a global leader in sustainable material handling equipment and services, has secured its first order from the Port of Helsingborg, Sweden, for two electric reachstackers. The Port of Helsingborg, located on Sweden’s Øresund coast, is the country’s second-largest container port and a key hub for sea, road, and rail transport. In 2024, the port took a significant step towards reducing its carbon footprint by becoming the first in Sweden to order an electric reachstacker from Kalmar. Currently, the port operates three eco-friendly reachstackers.

Eric Wass, Sales Representative for Kalmar Sweden, echoed the sentiment.
Kalmar, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, operates in over 120 countries and employs approximately 5,300 people. In 2025, the company's sales totalled approximately EUR 1.7 billion. Kalmar's commitment to sustainable solutions is reflected in its vision to be the forerunner in sustainable material handling equipment and services.
The order from the Port of Helsingborg marks a significant milestone in Kalmar's efforts to support ports and terminals in their transition to zero-emission operations.
