John Stamato Joins Board of Directors at Glen Burnie Bancorp

GLEN BURNIE, Md., Sept. 01, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- John Stamato, a well-known real estate developer and business leader, has been named to the Board of Directors of Glen Burnie Bancorp, the parent company of The Bank of Glen Burnie®, according to an announcement from the bank.

Stamato's appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster the bank's local presence and expertise. "John's collaborative style and extensive experience in real estate development will be a significant asset as we pursue our growth initiatives," said Jay Baldwin, Chairman of the Glen Burnie Bancorp Board.

With over 30 years of experience in residential and commercial land development in the Mid-Atlantic region, Stamato is the founder and President of Millersville-based Ribera Development, LLC. His development work has focused on land use entitlements for residential and mixed-use projects in Maryland and Delaware. "I am excited to bring my skills to The Bank of Glen Burnie and contribute to its continued growth," Stamato stated.

A native of Anne Arundel County and a current resident of Severna Park, Stamato graduated from Arundel High School and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from West Virginia University. He is also actively involved in charitable and philanthropic activities, serving on the Severn School Board of Trustees and as a member of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center's advisory board.
