JetStream Clearance launches to secure AI agent actions in real-time

SANTA CLARA, Calif., JetStream Security, the leading provider of AI control planes for enterprises, has announced the launch of JetStream Clearance™, an innovative AI reasoning engine designed to ensure that every action by an AI agent is authorized before execution. This new tool aims to address the growing security concerns associated with the increasing number of AI agents deployed in corporate environments.

According to JetStream Security, Clearance operates by evaluating each AI agent's action against an approved design, ensuring that unauthorized or potentially harmful actions are halted. This dynamic process takes place in real-time, prior to the execution of the action, rather than relying on post-event logging.

In today's rapidly evolving landscape, enterprises are preparing to manage a surge in AI agent usage, with some organizations expecting to deploy hundreds of thousands of agents. Historically, Zero Trust security principles focused on verifying the identity and permissions of human users and applications. However, the rise of AI agents has introduced new challenges, requiring a more granular and dynamic approach to security.

JetStream Clearance addresses these challenges by moving the trust boundary to the individual action, evaluating it in real-time. This is particularly critical as AI agents interact with various tools and services, making decisions that can have significant consequences. The engine uses JetStream AI Blueprints™, which define the operational contracts for each agent, including the models, tools, and datasets it uses. This ensures that each agent operates within the parameters set by the organization.

During the upcoming Fal.Con conference, JetStream will demonstrate how Clearance works, highlighting its role in preventing unauthorized actions. The company has also been recognized by CrowdStrike, which has named Clearance as part of its new AI Partner Specialization launched at Fal.Con 2026.

Raj Rajamani, Co-Founder and CEO of JetStream Security, emphasized the importance of this new solution: "Every enterprise I talk to now has an AI gateway, but the real issue is whether the agent should have taken that action in the first place. Clearance operates by analyzing the sequence of actions an AI agent takes, evaluating the entire process rather than individual calls. For instance, an agent authorized to query a customer record and send an email might perform these actions legitimately. However, adding a blind carbon copy (bcc) to the email could indicate a potential security risk. Clearance would evaluate this sequence and prevent the action from proceeding.
