Jassper Shipping, a project logistics and specialized cargo solutions company, announced a significant investment of up to $50 million to expand its global footprint, with a strong emphasis on India. The move comes as the Indian government is investing heavily in infrastructure, manufacturing, and energy projects, providing a fertile ground for Jassper Shipping’s expansion.
The $50 million investment will be deployed over the next three years, with an initial $10 million allocated to the company’s B2B project logistics business. This funding will support sectors that Jassper Shipping already serves, including power, steel, petrochemicals, heavy engineering, manufacturing, and large infrastructure projects.
McKinsey & Company estimates that the global project logistics market will reach over $400 billion by 2030, driven by infrastructure builds, energy transition spending, and trade route restructuring. This expansion is particularly pushing capital towards emerging-market corridors, with India, the Gulf, and Southeast Asia as priority destinations. According to the World Economic Forum, the restructuring of trade routes is likely to channel significant capital towards these regions.
India’s major ports handled 915.17 million tonnes of cargo in fiscal year 2025-26, marking a 7.06% increase from the previous year. This growth in cargo volume is reflective of the rising demand for specialized cargo handling, port connectivity, and inland transport. Pushpank Kaushik, CEO and Head of Business Development (Subcontinent, Middle East & Southeast Asia) at Jassper Shipping, stated, "India is in the middle of a multi-year investment cycle across infrastructure and industry, and that is opening up real opportunities for specialized logistics players. Our $50 million programme is about building the scale and execution strength to participate in that, and to do it from India, radiating outward to the Gulf and our other international corridors."
Founded in 1993, Jassper Shipping is an international shipping and logistics company providing project logistics, breakbulk logistics, bulk logistics, ship chartering, and industrial supply chain solutions. The company has operations and network coverage across Southeast Asia, Africa, the Arabian Gulf, the Red Sea, and the Far East.
Kaushik continued, "Our growth capital programme aligns with the broader economic trends and the increasing need for efficient logistics solutions. We are committed to leveraging our expertise to support the expansion of India's infrastructure and industrial sectors. Our strategic focus will be on integrating our industrial supply chain capabilities across multiple regions, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the global logistics landscape."
The company’s expansion into India and the broader region is expected to enhance its market presence and operational capabilities, enabling it to better serve its clients and stakeholders. With the new investment, Jassper Shipping aims to solidify its position as a key player in the project logistics market, capitalizing on the emerging opportunities in the region.
