LOS ANGELES, September 29, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Jack Canfield, co-creator of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series and author of The Success Principles, is set to release a new book titled 'Ayahuasca for the Soul' on October 1, 2026. The book, which gathers 79 first-person stories from people who have journeyed with plant medicine, aims to provide hope, healing, and breakthroughs to readers.
Canfield, who has spent over five decades studying personal transformation, says that his experiences with ayahuasca have been the most powerful in his journey.
The book features a range of contributors, including military veterans with treatment-resistant PTSD, celebrities like Cesar Millan and Iyanla Vanzant, business leaders, parents, and first-time journeyers. Each story follows the arc of hope, experience, and breakthrough, offering readers a glimpse into the transformative power of ayahuasca.
Canfield, who now serves on Rythmia's board of directors, emphasizes the importance of safety in ayahuasca ceremonies.
Rythmia Life Advancement Center, a medically licensed plant medicine retreat in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, has been a significant partner in the book. Since opening in 2016, Rythmia has hosted more than 24,000 guests from around the world. The center's model of medical screening and safety is featured in a chapter of the book, alongside a chapter on the neurobiology of ayahuasca and how it affects the brain.
The book will be available on Amazon on October 1, 2026, with wider retail availability to follow. Canfield will mark the launch as a keynote speaker at Asprey's BEYOND Wonderland Conference, a two-day event dedicated to psychedelic science and consciousness technology, held October 13 and 14, 2026, at the Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas.
The Chicken Soup for the Soul series has sold more than 600 million copies in 51 languages and produced more than 40 New York Times bestsellers. Canfield believes that the format of sharing personal stories can be applied to the realm of plant medicine, offering readers a new perspective on healing and self-discovery.
The book, which includes a foreword by Michael Bernard Beckwith and endorsements from New York Times best-selling authors Anita Moorjani, Dave Asprey, and John Gray, aims to provide a safe and accessible introduction to the world of ayahuasca. Canfield hopes that readers will find inspiration in the stories and consider giving ayahuasca a chance as an alternative path to healing and transformation.
