IONNA Network Doubles Nationwide With 180+ Sites

IONNA, the largest 400kW charging network in the US, has more than doubled in size since the beginning of 2026, boasting more than 180 live charging sites nationwide. This growth is anchored by industry-leading customer satisfaction, as IONNA has earned the top ranking among DC Fast Chargers in the JD Power 2026 U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience (EVX) Public Charging StudySM in its first year of eligibility. This achievement underscores IONNA’s commitment to coverage, reliability, and amenities.

Since announcing its strategic partnership with Circle K earlier this year, IONNA has already brought 40 Circle K charging locations online, rapidly expanding charging options across one of America’s largest convenience retail networks and doubling the usage of locations following upgrades to IONNA operations. This partnership has not only bolstered IONNA’s network but also deepened its integration with existing retail infrastructure.

In a world of digital saturation, IONNA’s decision to forego a proprietary app has paved the way for a deeper focus on seamless integrations. Drivers can now experience the network using the platforms they already know and love, such as Presto, EV Connect, and ChargeHub, as well as Plug & Charge from Volvo Cars with Toyota’s integration coming soon. This open access strategy has expanded the network’s reach and convenience for drivers.

IONNA has also established a dedicated council to ensure customer feedback shapes future progress on the network. Central to IONNA’s progress is the company’s commitment to putting the driver first in the decision-making process. To further incorporate driver feedback, IONNA has founded a Driver Advisory Council composed of leading EV community voices, co-captained by Kyle Conner (Out of Spec) and Tom Moloughney (State of Charge). This council provides structured input on network performance, customer priorities, and future product development, working directly on behalf of the EV community to champion driver priorities and continuously elevate the charging experience across the network.

The council’s first priority will focus on gathering feedback on IONNA’s newly launched Driver’s Dashboard, a feature that provides drivers with real-time charging session details without the need for another app. This feature allows drivers to track progress seamlessly while enjoying the surrounding amenities, without the need for downloads, subscriptions, or remembering a password. Drivers can access convenient information at their fingertips, and reclaim a little time back in their day.

IONNA’s network expansion, leading customer satisfaction, retail growth, partnerships, and driver engagement initiatives reflect a consistent strategy: create a charging experience designed around the customer. As the network continues to grow, IONNA remains focused on proving that collaboration, rather than fragmentation, is the fastest path to improving EV charging across North America.

IONNA, a joint venture founded by eight of the world’s leading automakers, is creating a reliable, convenient, and customer-focused charging network that supports both everyday driving and long-distance travel. Through ultrafast charging, thoughtfully designed Rechargeries, advanced technology, and strategic retail partnerships, IONNA is delivering the coverage drivers need, the reliability they deserve, and the amenities they crave.
