LOS ANGELES, Sept. 4, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Investors with losses in UWM Holdings Corporation (UWMC) have been given an opportunity to lead a securities fraud class action lawsuit, according to a press release from the law firm Glancy Prongay Wolke & Rotter LLP (GPWR).

The lawsuit alleges that between March 9, 2026, and August 5, 2026, the company made materially false and/or misleading statements and failed to disclose material adverse facts regarding its business, operations, and prospects. Specifically, the complaint states that the company deviated from its traditional strategy of not hedging its mortgage servicing rights, took a major hedge position, over-hedged in anticipation of the Two Harbors transaction, and that its purported efforts to balance risk actually created an excess hedging risk. The lawsuit claims that as a result, the company's positive statements to investors were materially misleading and lacked a reasonable basis.

The firm, known for its experience in representing investors and consumers in complex class action litigation, is now seeking to assist shareholders in potentially recovering their losses. Investors who suffered financial harm are advised to act quickly. The lead plaintiff must move the court by October 13, 2026.
