Intrepid Metals Launches Comprehensive Exploration Program at Corral Copper Project

Intrepid Metals Corp. has launched a comprehensive exploration program at its Corral Copper Project in Arizona, aiming to expand and deepen the company’s understanding of the mineral deposit. The program, which includes a 10,000-meter diamond drill campaign and a 65 line-kilometer SWATH direct current induced polarization and magnetotelluric (IP-MT) geophysical survey, marks a significant step forward in the company’s efforts to unlock the full potential of the Corral district.

The 10,000-meter drill program is divided into two main components. The first part, approximately 5,000 meters, will focus on expanding and further evaluating the near-surface Carbonate Replacement Deposit (CRD) style copper-gold-silver mineralization that has been identified through previous drilling. This includes testing extensions of known mineralization at the Ringo, Clanton, Earp, and Holliday zones. The second part, also 5,000 meters, will target high-priority porphyry copper-gold exploration, with the aim of identifying the potential source of the extensive CRD mineralization.

The IP-MT survey, conducted by Quantec Geoscience Ltd., an international geophysical services company, will cover approximately 65 line-kilometers. The survey will use a SWATH configuration to collect three complementary datasets: DC resistivity, IP chargeability, and MT resistivity. These datasets will provide a detailed subsurface view of the project area, helping to refine the location and orientation of the planned porphyry drill holes.

Matt Lennox-King, Chairman and Interim Chief Executive Officer of Intrepid Metals Corp., stated, "With both drilling and the IP-MT survey underway, we now have two major field programs advancing in parallel at Corral. The drilling will test extensions of the known CRD mineralization, while the IP-MT survey will provide a three-dimensional view of the subsurface. Together, these programs give us multiple opportunities to add scale and make new discoveries at Corral."

The drilling has already commenced at the Holliday Zone, with initial targets focused on extending known CRD-style copper-gold-silver mineralization. Previous drilling by Intrepid in 2024 and 2025 confirmed a broad, approximately 3.5-kilometer trend of near-surface CRD and related copper-gold-silver mineralization. The 2026 program is designed to test extensions of this mineralization and further evaluate continuity between and beyond the areas drilled to date.

Selected results from Intrepid's previous drilling at Corral include: - 112.95 meters of 1.50% copper, 0.53 grams per tonne gold, and 8.22 grams per tonne silver, including 63.40 meters of 2.57% copper, 0.91 grams per tonne gold, and 14.14 grams per tonne silver in Hole CC24_023. - 216.50 meters of 0.71% copper, 0.28 grams per tonne gold, and 5.14 grams per tonne silver, including 49.10 meters of 1.84% copper, 0.78 grams per tonne gold, and 11.41 grams per tonne silver in Hole CC25_029.

The IP-MT survey, which is expected to take approximately two months to complete, will comprise 12 receiver lines spaced approximately 400 meters apart. The survey will help identify chargeability and resistivity anomalies that may represent sulphide-rich intrusive centres, alteration zones, or geological structures associated with a potential porphyry system at depth.

The porphyry portion of the drill program is expected to include approximately 5,000 meters of drilling, the first to test high-priority porphyry copper-gold targets and evaluate the potential source of the extensive CRD mineralization. Results from the IP-MT survey will be integrated with geological mapping, surface geochemistry, structural interpretation, drill core relogging, and other recent fieldwork to further refine the project's geological model and finalize the locations and orientations of the planned porphyry drill holes.

The sequencing of the program will allow additional time to complete and interpret the IP-MT survey before drilling begins on the porphyry targets later in 2026. Porphyry drilling is currently expected to begin in late October, although the sequencing of the program may be adjusted as drilling progresses and additional geological and geophysical information becomes available.
