International standard for hand-held laser safety released

SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 02, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- On August 28, 2026, the international standard ISO 11553-2:2026, which sets the first global safety requirements for hand-held or hand-operated laser processing machines, was officially released. This standard was developed by Han’s Laser Smart Equipment Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Han's Laser Technology Industry Group Co., Ltd.

This development marks a significant milestone for Han’s Laser, transitioning the company from a participant in international standards to a leader in setting safety guidelines for the hand-held laser processing equipment sector. Hand-held laser welding and cleaning systems have become increasingly popular due to their flexibility and efficiency.
