Institute of LAG Research Launches Memori Baby, an Ad-Free Baby Tracker

Institute of LAG Research, a research institute in Fukuoka, Japan, has launched Memori Baby, an ad-free baby tracker and private family album. The app, built by an 18-year-old founder, aims to provide parents with a secure and private platform to log and track their child's development without the intrusion of advertisements or third-party data sharing.

According to a February 2026 audit in Internet Policy Review, all 14 of the most-downloaded baby-tracking apps on Android sent data to third parties. Similarly, a May 2026 Surfshark study found that 8 out of 10 popular pregnancy and baby apps shared data with third parties. Memori Baby stands out by ensuring that no advertising or analytics SDKs are present, and no ads are shown on any plan. The app's core features, such as next-feeding predictions and cry detection, run on the iPhone itself, with audio never stored or sent.

Memori Baby is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad (iOS and iPadOS 26.2 or later). Parents can log feeding, sleep, diapers, temperature, growth, vaccinations, and doctor visits in a few taps. Photos and videos can be stored in an album for each child, with no cap on the number or duration of items a family can keep. Relatives can be invited as view-only members or with permission to post and log. Grandparents who do not use the app can view the album in a web browser with a three-word code, and parents can make that access view-only and short-lived. Parents can also export a monthly diary book as a PDF.

Memori Baby is free to download, and all logging, the photo and video album, and family sharing are free.
