NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, October 8, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Innovera, a nonprofit organization focused on accelerating climate innovation and strengthening community resilience, has launched collaborative working groups following a highly successful event at Climate Week NYC.

During the event, Innovera’s Co-Founder and Senior Fellow, Gifford Pinchot III, and Managing Director, Stephanie Glazer, engaged in a lively discussion with Nuin-Tara Key, Chief Operating Officer of California Forward. The conversation centered on community-scale approaches to mitigating wildfire risks, enhancing resilience, and promoting recovery. The event explored how partners can share responsibility and risk, strengthen infrastructure, and mobilize investment to address growing physical climate risks.

Glazer introduced Innovera’s CIRCLE Framework: Connected Infrastructure for Resilient Communities & Local Economies. This approach to infrastructure investments is designed to deliver and protect lasting community benefits. The discussion at the event considered how legal, financial, and governance structures can better align the interests of communities, public agencies, businesses, and investors.

The working groups will focus on developing new approaches, partnerships, and high-potential models for community-beneficial infrastructure and climate resilience. These groups will build on the concepts discussed at the event, aiming to create practical, actionable solutions that can be implemented in communities.

Innovera thanks Sara Blenkhorn of the Buckminster Fuller Institute, who opened the Climate Week program, and Albana Theka, President of the Financial Women’s Association of New York, who delivered welcome remarks.

The event was standing room only, for an energetic discussion and exchange of ideas across disciplines. The launch of the working groups in mid-October brings together leaders to develop legal, financial, and governance structures for integrated, community-beneficial infrastructure. This initiative is part of Innovera’s broader efforts to address climate resilience and community resilience through innovative approaches.

To get involved, interested parties can review the CIRCLE Framework, register interest in Innovera’s working groups, explore the Climate Week NYC event summary and photo gallery, and follow Innovera on LinkedIn.
