Inman, the leading source of news, insights, events, and professional development in the real estate industry, has appointed Lucy Cohen Blatter as its new Editor-in-Chief. With over 15 years of experience in residential real estate journalism, Cohen Blatter brings a wealth of industry knowledge and editorial expertise to the role.

Cohen Blatter most recently served as the Editorial Director of Custom Content at Dow Jones, where she led editorial strategy and execution for Mansion Global Custom Studios. Prior to that, she held the position of Managing Editor at Mansion Global, overseeing the global newsroom's daily operations, talent, and budgets. Her experience also includes managing the editorial calendar, assignments, and production at Barron's Penta publication. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Senior Contributing Editor and Interim Managing Editor at BrickUnderground, where she helped shape the publication's editorial strategy and multimedia expansion.

Tom Bohn, Inman's Chief Executive Officer, stated, "Lucy has spent years inside the stories, companies, and market forces that shape residential real estate. She understands the speed and rigor required of a daily newsroom, and she understands the reader on the other side of that reporting. She is exactly the kind of editorial leader we want guiding Inman into its next chapter."

Bohn's commitment to editorial independence is further reinforced by Cohen Blatter's appointment. Inman has been steadfast in its mission to report independently on the companies, organizations, and leaders shaping the industry, regardless of commercial relationships or outside pressure.

Cohen Blatter's early priorities at Inman include strengthening the newsroom's daily news reporting, expanding the depth and value of its subscription coverage, and creating a closer connection between the newsroom and the conversations happening on Inman Connect stages. She said, "I'm honored and excited to join Inman at such a transformative time for both the real estate industry and the media landscape. Readers trust Inman for its uncompromised editorial quality and sharp industry insights. I look forward to building on that rich foundation and sharpening our edge, strengthening our breaking news coverage, expanding our suite of broker tools, and ensuring our content remains indispensable to real estate professionals. We have a lot of exciting plans in store for our readers, and we can't wait to get started."

Inman's 1,000 Storytellers initiative, the Inman Media Network, and the anticipated launch of Inman 2.0, which will overhaul the Inman.com user experience and reimagine the way Inman's audiences consume real estate news, are some of the projects that will benefit from Cohen Blatter's leadership. Her addition to the leadership team follows a series of senior hires under Bohn, including Constance Sayers as Chief Operating Officer and Holly Meyer Lucas as Chief Marketing Officer.

Cohen Blatter holds a bachelor's degree in English literature from Rutgers University and studied English literature at University College London. With her extensive experience and deep understanding of the real estate industry, Cohen Blatter is well-positioned to lead Inman into its next phase of growth and innovation.
