Inculab Plus Earns kidSAFE SAFE CERTIFIED Seal for KidsTopia

Inculab plus, the operator of the AI kids service KidsTopia, has earned the kidSAFE SAFE CERTIFIED Seal, a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to child safety and privacy. This achievement, recognized by the kidSAFE Seal Program, underscores Inculab plus's dedication to creating a secure online environment for children and their parents.

The kidSAFE Seal Program evaluates the safety practices of digital services used by children, including websites and mobile apps. KidsTopia, previously listed with the kidSAFE LISTED Seal, has now advanced to the more stringent kidSAFE SAFE CERTIFIED Seal following a comprehensive review of its safety practices. This certification is particularly noteworthy as it marks one of the few Korea-based members to achieve this designation.

Inculab plus, spun off from LG U+, operates KidsTopia, an edutainment platform where children can play, learn, explore virtual spaces, interact with friends, and engage with AI characters. The service is available in 11 countries, including Korea, the United States, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore. As KidsTopia expands globally, Inculab plus has prioritized child safety and privacy as key components of its platform.

To strengthen its safety framework, KidsTopia has implemented several measures. These include enhanced chat filters, automatic detection and masking of suspected personal information such as names and addresses, and improved user reporting mechanisms. The platform also delivers real-time filtering and reporting events to the moderation team, ensuring swift action on any potential issues.

In addition, KidsTopia has enhanced safeguards for AI interactions. The service informs children when they are interacting with an AI character to prevent confusion with a real person. It also provides break reminders after consecutive interactions to encourage safer AI use. These measures are designed to create a more secure and transparent online experience for children.
