PORTLAND, OR, UNITED STATES, October 29, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Imagine Black, a Black-led organization based in Portland, Oregon, has published its 2026 Voter Guide and invested in community members to lead voter outreach efforts. The guide, which includes endorsements for candidates from various levels of government, aims to engage voters and ensure their voices are heard in the upcoming November 3 general election.

With more than 20,000 nonpartisan get-out-the-vote calls already underway, Imagine Black is actively working to mobilize voters across the region. The organization has also hired over 26 Election Organizers from the local community to knock on doors and conduct phone banking. These organizers are tasked with connecting directly with voters in Multnomah County, fostering relationships that extend beyond Election Day.

The voter guide showcases Imagine Black's endorsed candidates and provides voters with a clear, values-aligned look at who is running and why each candidate was supported. Among the endorsed candidates are Myrna Muñoz for the Oregon State Senate, House District 27 candidate Tammy Carpenter, and Shannon Singleton for Multnomah County Chair.

In addition to its political advocacy arm, Imagine Black operates through three affiliated entities. The organization's political advocacy arm, Imagine Black (501(c)(4)), focuses on building Black political power in Oregon. It endorses and works to elect candidates who are committed to improving the lives of Black Oregonians.

The voter guide also highlights the No Police Money in Politics pledge, which has been signed by over 15 candidates. These signatories have committed to rejecting contributions from police unions and associations, not seeking their endorsement, and publicly rejecting any independent spending those groups might do on their behalf. The signers span state legislative, county, and city council races across the Portland region.

Oregon's voting system is by mail, and voters can check their registration and track their ballot at Oregon My Vote. Completed ballots must be returned to an official drop site by 8 p.m. on November 3.

Imagine Black's voter engagement efforts reflect a core belief that the people closest to the community are best positioned to engage it. By hiring local organizers and publishing a comprehensive voter guide, the organization aims to ensure that Black voices are heard and that the community's values are represented in the upcoming elections.
