Idaho Copper Receives US Forest Service Approval for CuMo Project Drilling

BOISE, Idaho, Sept. 22, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Idaho Copper Corporation has received approval from the U.S. Forest Service to commence drilling at its flagship CuMo copper-molybdenum-silver project in Boise County, Idaho. The approval, which follows the Decision Notice and Finding of No Significant Impact issued by the USFS on March 14, 2025, clears the way for the company to begin exploration activities, including drilling and roadbuilding and maintenance.

According to Andrew Brodkey, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, the approval is a significant milestone for the CuMo project.

The USFS accepted the Company’s signed Forest Service Evaluation form and incorporated all required changes, modifications, and mitigations into the approved Exploration Plan of Operations. The letter further notes that the Company has provided documentation showing that all other permits necessary for the project are in place and in good standing. The USFS also approved the Company’s 2026 annual operating plan, which was reviewed and field-verified by agency staff.

The approved Exploration Plan of Operations is effective for six years from the first day of operations, inclusive of final reclamation. The plan allows the company to target up to 15,000 feet of additional diamond core drilling this season. Management is prioritizing infill drilling that tightens confidence in the existing deposit, with plans to carry that work into a substantially larger campaign in 2027 aimed at completing the drilling needed for a Prefeasibility Study.

The CuMo project, one of the largest undeveloped copper deposits in the U.S., covers approximately 2,640 acres and consists of 126 federal unpatented lode mining claims and 6 patented mining claims. The project is also one of the largest undeveloped primary molybdenum deposits in the world, containing significant amounts of silver, rhenium, and tungsten, all considered critical or of strategic importance.
