HANGZHOU, China, Sept. 7, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Hoymiles, a provider of integrated home energy solutions, has introduced the V2X DC Charger, expanding its ecosystem to include electric vehicle (EV) charging. The new charger, which works seamlessly with the company’s HiOne All-in-One Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), aims to create a more comprehensive home energy management system that integrates solar power, battery storage, EVs, and the grid.

The V2X DC Charger boasts bi-directional charging capabilities, allowing homeowners to utilize their EVs as additional energy resources. This feature enables the vehicle to provide backup power during grid outages through Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) and participate in peak shaving and virtual power plant (VPP) dispatches via Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G). The charger also includes an EU MID-certified meter, ensuring accurate energy measurement for reliable monitoring and management.

Unlike traditional AC-coupled chargers, the Hoymiles V2X DC Charger enables direct DC charging from photovoltaic (PV) systems and battery storage to the EV. This bypasses the vehicle’s onboard charger (OBC) and eliminates unnecessary AC/DC conversions, resulting in reduced energy losses during charging. With a maximum charging power of 22 kW, the V2X can add approximately 110 kilometers of driving range in just one hour, compared to the 35 kilometers that a conventional AC charger can provide in the same time.

The charger is designed for easy installation and broad compatibility, supporting 95% of mainstream EV models. Its compact and standalone design allows for flexible installation, such as beside the parking space, providing homeowners with greater freedom in positioning the HiOne All-in-One BESS where it best fits their home energy setup. The V2X DC Charger features IP65 protection and IK10 impact protection, ensuring durability for outdoor use and protection against accidental impacts.

Hoymiles’ V2X DC Charger is managed through the same app-based ecosystem as the company’s home energy solutions, offering users a unified view and control of their entire energy system. Users can choose between green power mode and fast charging mode depending on their needs and preferences. By integrating the V2X DC Charger into its ecosystem, Hoymiles continues to expand its comprehensive home energy management offerings, connecting solar generation, energy storage, energy management, and electric mobility to help households generate, store, use, and share energy more intelligently.

This new addition to Hoymiles’ product lineup aims to empower homeowners to take greater control over their energy usage and costs. By utilizing their EVs as flexible energy resources, homeowners can optimize their energy consumption and reduce their reliance on the grid, potentially leading to significant savings and a more sustainable energy future.
