Houston Couple Opens Personal Wellness Studio in Energy Corridor

Clyde and Denia Smith, a Houston couple with a personal history of wellness, are opening a new private wellness studio in the Energy Corridor. Beem® Energy Corridor, set to welcome its first guests in mid-September, offers a unique approach to recovery and wellness, combining private infrared sauna and red light therapy in a sanctuary-like setting.

The Smiths' journey to opening beem® Energy Corridor is deeply rooted in personal experiences. Denia, a breast cancer survivor, and Clyde, who has managed sports injuries and chronic pain, have developed a strong belief in the importance of proactive wellness and personal recovery. "Opening beem® isn't just a business launch for us, it's deeply personal," Clyde said. "We've both experienced how easy it is to put your own health and recovery last. We wanted to create a place where people can step away from the demands of everyday life, take care of themselves, and leave feeling genuinely restored."

Beem® Energy Corridor is designed to offer a personalized wellness experience in a private setting. The studio features private suites equipped with infrared sauna, red light therapy, and chromotherapy. Unlike crowded wellness environments, beem® focuses on giving each guest dedicated time and space to relax, recharge, and make the experience their own. "We wanted to create a place where people can come for 40 minutes, disconnect from the noise, and reconnect with themselves," Denia Smith added.

The Smiths are particularly excited about the studio's potential to serve the community in West Houston. "West Houston was where the couple first settled after moving to the United States, making the opportunity to open a business on Eldridge Parkway feel like a homecoming," Denia said. The studio plans to become more than just a wellness destination by building relationships with local businesses, fitness facilities, healthcare providers, schools, corporate teams, and civic organizations. "We want to give back by creating a space that feels like a sanctuary," Clyde said.

Beem® Energy Corridor is the latest expansion of BEEM Light Sauna, a full-spectrum infrared sauna and light therapy studio brand. Founded in 2021, BEEM offers a modern approach to whole-body wellness, combining near-, mid-, and far-infrared therapy with red, green, blue, and chromotherapy light. The brand currently operates 81 locally owned and operated studios nationwide, including 24 locations offering advanced green and blue light therapy. With Founding Member rates and complimentary first two sessions, the studio is set to welcome guests in mid-September 2026.
