Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, one of Japan's iconic luxury hotels with over 70 years of history, is set to dazzle visitors once again with its annual Forest Aurora event, now enhanced with the Tokyo Sea of Clouds and Glimmering Crystals. This winter, from November 10, 2026, to February 7, 2027, the hotel will transform its historic Japanese garden, which will mark its 150th anniversary in 2028, into a winter wonderland.
The Forest Aurora, which has been a beloved tradition since 2021, will now incorporate the new Tokyo Sea of Clouds, YAKUMO, mist installation. This innovative mist setup uses layered mist and precision control to create dynamic cloud formations within the garden, offering visitors a unique and enchanting experience. Additionally, around 300 crystals of various sizes will be placed on the slope facing Yusuichi Pond, among the trees. As they catch the illumination, they will shimmer like droplets left behind by the Sea of Clouds, adding a mesmerizing touch to the evening scene.
Guests can enjoy the combination of mist, light, and crystals during the Forest Aurora & Glimmering Dew event, which will feature three nightly shows: at 6:40 p.m., 8:40 p.m., and 9:40 p.m. daily. The hotel's Japanese garden, renowned for its diverse botanicals, including approximately 100 cherry trees and 1,000 camellia trees, will be the perfect backdrop for this enchanting display.
Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, with its 265 guest rooms/suites, eight restaurants, an executive lounge, 38 meeting/banquet rooms, and a full-service spa with a Japanese onsen, continues to offer a luxurious stay in the heart of Tokyo. The hotel's award-winning garden, a standout feature, recreates the natural phenomenon of the Tokyo Sea of Clouds, a sight usually reserved for mountainous regions in Japan.
For those seeking a unique winter experience in Tokyo, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo's Forest Aurora & Glimmering Dew event promises to be a highlight of the season.
