Horizon Aircraft Names Tom Hearne as New Chair of Audit Committee

Horizon Aircraft, a leading Canadian aerospace company developing hybrid-electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) aircraft, has appointed Tom Hearne to its Board of Directors and named him Chair of the Audit Committee. Hearne takes over from Trisha Nomura, who has stepped down for personal reasons.

Trisha Nomura, who had served as both a director and Chair of the Audit Committee, resigned on September 4, 2026. Her departure was amicable, with no disagreement with the company or board regarding operations, policies, or financial reporting. Nomura will continue to offer support and advisory services to the company.

Tom Hearne brings over three decades of experience in technology leadership, capital markets, and financial management. As CEO and director of ARB Labs, a gaming industry AI technology company, he has scaled businesses through various stages of growth. Hearne also serves as director and Chair of the Audit Committee of publicly traded Enthusiast Gaming Holdings and chairs its Special Committee. His previous roles include CEO and CFO positions at Tiidal Gaming Group and London Stock Exchange-listed Sportech PLC.

Horizon Aircraft is developing the Cavorite X7, one of the first hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft, designed to offer industry-leading speed, range, and operational utility. The company plans to scale unit production once the full-scale aircraft is successfully tested and certified.
