Hope Services Launches Construction of New Hudson Vocational Training Center

Hope Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing vocational training and employment support to individuals with disabilities and others facing barriers to employment, is set to break ground on its new Hudson Vocational Training Center on September 30, 2026. The organization will host a community-wide Smash for Cash Party to celebrate the launch of construction at the new facility, located at 6901 County Road 52, Hudson, Florida 34667.
The event, scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m., aims to engage the community in the transformation of the former GTE Financial building into a state-of-the-art training center. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the future training center and learn about the organization's vision for expanding vocational training and employment opportunities.
David Caldas, Executive Director of Operations for Hope Services, emphasized the importance of community involvement in the project.
The new Hudson center will feature a full commercial kitchen, a dedicated construction classroom and workshop, and a medical training area. These facilities are designed to provide hands-on vocational training, life skills education, and employment opportunities in realistic workplace settings. Attendees can enjoy games, activities, and local food trucks while learning about the center's capabilities.

The Smash for Cash experience will allow attendees to contribute to the building's transformation by breaking through a designated section of wall. Additionally, the event will highlight Visionary Sponsorship opportunities for businesses, families, and community supporters. These opportunities include naming rooms and training areas and receiving recognition on the center's Visionary Sponsors Wall.
