HONG KONG, Oct. 21, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has unveiled a new initiative called "Hong Kong Good Take," a comprehensive movie tourism guide that highlights more than 100 filming locations from 50 selected movies. This guide aims to engage visitors by connecting movie-themed landmarks, cultural attractions, and distinctive dining experiences, offering a unique way to explore the city.

According to HKTB Chairman Dr. Peter Lam, the initiative builds on the success of the "Taste Hong Kong" Gourmet Guide, which was launched earlier this year. "Hong Kong Good Take" combines film and TV culture with tourism promotion to unlock the potential of movie tourism, inviting visitors to step into the scenes from the big screen and experience the city's unique charm.

The guide features a wide array of filming locations, showcasing the many faces of Hong Kong. From bustling city streets to historic sites, waterfront scenery, and distinctive neighborhoods, the guide provides a comprehensive look at the city's diverse landscapes. It also extends to food, cultural, and community experiences, encouraging visitors to explore the city in person.

HKTB is collaborating with the trade to roll out movie-themed guided experiences. These experiences will feature carefully designed itineraries that combine film and TV culture, community exploration, and distinctive dining. The goal is to extend screen stories into the streets and lanes of local neighborhoods, offering visitors a different perspective on the city.

The "Hong Kong Good Take" guide will present a series of feature stories in phases, introducing the appeal of movie tourism in Hong Kong from multiple perspectives. The first phase includes the "Taste Hong Kong through Cinema" feature stories, which showcase food scenes from classic movies and invite visitors to embark on a cinematic culinary journey through the city. Later, in conjunction with major film events such as the Hong Kong International Film Festival, the campaign will draw on the perspectives of directors, creators, and international productions to highlight Hong Kong's importance as a filming location for international projects.

To experience "Hong Kong Good Take" firsthand, visitors can explore movie-themed travel itineraries across various neighborhoods, visiting filming locations in areas such as Old Town Central, Sham Shui Po, and Yau Ma Tei. The initiative encourages visitors to create their own cinematic memories and embark on their very own Hong Kong movie story.
