Holly Poultry, a Maryland-based poultry company with over three decades of experience serving foodservice customers, has announced the opening of a new 80,000-square-foot production facility in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. This expansion is part of the company's strategic move to support its growing retail business, driven by the success of its Easy Street and One Fine Chicken brands, as well as its expanding private-label programs.

The new facility, which is expected to create 140 net new jobs, will significantly enhance Holly Poultry's retail production capacity. This will enable the company to better serve its existing customers, expand its distribution network, and explore new retail partnerships. The investment underscores the company's commitment to innovation and product development, with the new Easy Street brand offering pre-diced and dry-seasoned chicken in flavors such as Korean BBQ, Street Taco, Peruvian, Shawarma, and Chili Crisp. One Fine Chicken, on the other hand, provides high-quality No Antibiotics Ever fresh chicken at prices competitive with traditional national brands.

According to Zach Fine, CEO of Holly Poultry, "We saw an opportunity to bring more to the fresh chicken case, and the response from retailers and consumers has reinforced that. This facility is a major investment in that opportunity. It gives us the capacity to serve the customers choosing our products today while creating room to expand into new retailers, build new private-label partnerships, and keep pushing what fresh poultry can be."

The new Easy Street brand has already gained significant traction, with the product now available at major retailers such as Giant Food, The Giant Company, Harris Teeter, ShopRite, Shaws, and Hannaford. At top-performing stores, Easy Street is averaging more than 30 units per store per week, with a three- to four-flavor set. This success has not only bolstered the company's retail presence but also highlighted the growing demand for convenient, high-quality poultry products.

Holly Poultry's expansion into Anne Arundel County is seen as a significant boost to the local manufacturing economy. Amy Gowan, president and CEO of the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation, expressed her enthusiasm for the new facility, stating, "We're proud to welcome Holly Poultry's expansion to Anne Arundel County. This investment strengthens our local manufacturing economy, creates meaningful job opportunities, and reinforces the region's role in the continued growth of Maryland's food industry."

The new production platform will allow Holly Poultry to respond more quickly to customer needs and support continued innovation across its branded and private-label products. This expansion marks a pivotal step in the company's journey to become a leading player in the retail poultry market, driven by its commitment to quality, convenience, and customer satisfaction.
