Hodson P.I., a firm that has provided investigative solutions since 2003, has launched its inaugural Truth & Integrity Scholarship, aiming to support students interested in legal, claims, or investigative careers. The scholarship, which will open for its next application cycle on January 5, 2027, initially planned to award just one scholarship. However, the firm was surprised by the overwhelming response, receiving more than 50 applications in just three months.

Among the applicants, three students stood out and were selected for the inaugural scholarship: Melissa Chai, Louie Teed, and Rachel Ingels. Each of the scholars was chosen for their unique qualities and commitment to using their skills for the greater good.

Melissa Chai, a leader in advocacy and service, was recognized for her work representing thousands of students and creating opportunities for others in her community. She will continue her journey with Hodson P.I. by pursuing further education and advocacy.

Louie Teed, who will attend Indiana University on a pre-law path, has paired service and mentoring with an interest in solving practical problems. He developed a tool to make complex SEC filings easier to understand, showcasing his commitment to making legal processes more accessible.

Rachel Ingels, a student at Michigan State University’s James Madison College, is studying Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy and Criminal Justice. Her application highlighted her dedication to advocacy and helping others be represented and heard. She plans to use her knowledge to prepare for a career in law.

The selection committee considered applicants' leadership, accountability, service, and the choices that demonstrate character beyond academic achievement. The firm is grateful to its inaugural selection committee for the time and care they invested in reviewing the applications.

Hodson P.I. is now accepting applications for the next scholarship cycle, which will open on January 5, 2027. More details about the scholarship are available at hodsonpi.com/scholarship.
