Hivelocity Launches Gaming Bundle for Live Service Titles

Hivelocity, an infrastructure-as-a-service provider, has unveiled a new Gaming Bundle designed to meet the demands of game studios running live service titles. The bundle is tailored to address the unique challenges of the gaming industry by offering dedicated hardware, predictable pricing, and direct control over server orchestration.
Targeted at studios that rely on consistent performance for their backend services, the bundle includes three key components: Engineering Compute, Production Compute, and Live Service Compute. These sections cater to different aspects of game infrastructure, supporting development work, backend services, and the core latency-sensitive functions of live games.
"Public cloud services have their place, particularly for burst capacity and GPU-heavy workloads, but many live service workloads operate continuously," explains Ned Pope, Chief Product Officer at Hivelocity. "Our Gaming Bundle provides a more predictable cost model and greater operational control, ensuring game studios can run their critical workloads with the confidence and consistency they need."
The bundle is built around single-tenant dedicated hardware, offering high-capacity network options, including 10 Gbps unmetered ports for sustained traffic. This setup is crucial for content-heavy titles that require frequent large data transfers. Additionally, the bundle supports a hybrid pattern, allowing studios to leverage the benefits of public cloud for certain workloads while maintaining dedicated infrastructure for their most critical operations.
Hivelocity's Gaming Bundle also includes a myVelocity portal for fleet management, public APIs, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) capabilities, giving game studios the tools they need to operate their own server orchestration with ease. The company holds a SOC 2 Type II attestation for its core facilities and offers a PCI-validated facility foundation at its Tampa locations, with plans for expansion.
According to Hivelocity, the bundle is designed for studios that already run their own server orchestration and have committed to a tick-rate target. These studios can benefit from the dedicated hardware, regional placement, and state persistence that shared infrastructure cannot reliably provide. Hivelocity’s portfolio includes mid-market and enterprise customers in gaming, healthcare, SaaS, fintech, and high-performance computing, with a focus on providing 24/7 support and guaranteed network uptime.
The launch of the Gaming Bundle represents Hivelocity’s commitment to meeting the specific needs of the gaming industry. By offering a tailored solution that balances cost predictability with operational control, the company aims to support the growth and success of game studios in an increasingly competitive market.
