This solution reduces the need for additional bridge ICs and SerDes for display signal transmission, lowering system costs and power consumption while simplifying panel design.
Another key showcase will be the Single-Chip Design Integrating Local Dimming Into the TDDI, which delivers higher contrast, lower system cost, and greater power efficiency, making it ideal for smaller, lower-resolution automotive displays. Himax will also demonstrate its OLED Touch IC and LCD TDDI with Knob-on-Display and Capacitive Buttons, enabling safer, more intuitive physical controls and supporting sleek, display-centric smart car interiors.
To enhance driving safety, Himax will present its OLED Touch IC and LCD TDDI with User-Aware Touch Control, which distinguishes between driver and passenger touch interactions through advanced waveform and frequency detection. This innovation prevents unintended cross-zone touches and enhances driving safety.
In addition to automotive display technologies, Himax will present a series of live demonstrations of its latest 3D sensing technologies. These include the Glasses-Free 3D Total Solution, featuring a hardware-based architecture that converts stereo input into low-latency, real-time glasses-free 3D output with reduced crosstalk and flicker, ideal for next-generation notebook and tablet 3D display applications.
Himax will also showcase the SLiM™ 3D Sensing Module with Head Orientation Tracking, delivering high-accuracy, real-time head orientation tracking at a report rate of up to 180 Hz. This technology supports HMI systems in identifying the display or interaction zone a user is focused on, enabling more intuitive in-car interaction.
The company will also demonstrate 3D Eye and Hand Tracking, featuring continuous 3D spatial positioning and ultralow latency to deliver precise, real-time tracking of the user’s visual focus and hand movements. This innovation enables intuitive, seamless interaction with virtual content.
