HiKOKI introduces new cordless nailers for professional builders

Stuttgart, Germany, Sept. 3, 2026, HiKOKI, a KOKI Group company, has introduced a new generation of cordless nailers designed to outperform traditional pneumatic tools and provide the flexibility of cordless operation. These tools, which hit the European market in November 2026, are the lightest and fastest battery nailers on the market, offering the speed and driving force of pneumatic fastening without the bulk and maintenance of gas cartridges or hoses.

The new nailers, including the NR1890DCB 30° to 34° Cordless Framing Nailer and the NR1865DKA 33° to 36° Cordless Metal Connector Nailer, are equipped with HiKOKI's Air Spring Drive System Plus™. This proprietary technology stores and releases compressed air within the tool, delivering pneumatic-like performance in a cordless format. The system combines an optimized drive mechanism with advanced tableless battery technology, allowing for faster cycle times and smoother operation.

"We are addressing the critical needs of professional builders who demand both performance and mobility," said Peter Vullinghs, President of Europe for KOKI Group. "Our new nailers provide the best of both worlds, allowing professionals to complete demanding tasks more efficiently and cost-effectively."

The new nailers boast impressive performance metrics. The NR1890DCB can fire up to 4.5 nails per second and up to 5.0 nails per second on a tableless MultiVolt battery. The NR1865DKA can drive up to three nails per second into metal connectors. These figures far exceed the capabilities of most cordless and gas nailers, which typically manage only two to three nails per second.

The 3.9 kg weight of the 30° to 34° framing nailer, including the battery, makes it the lightest 18V cordless framing nailer in its class. This lightweight design, coupled with a magnesium housing, chamber, and magazine, reduces strain on workers during all-day use. The nailers also feature interchangeable magazines for different fastening applications, enhancing versatility while maintaining a consistent battery platform.

HiKOKI's next-generation nailers also offer significant cost savings. They eliminate the need for ongoing gas cartridge purchases, reducing running costs. Additionally, the tools do not require combustion, thus avoiding carbon build-up and the associated cleaning cycles. This makes the nailers a cleaner and more convenient solution, particularly in enclosed spaces.

"Engineering a system that matches pneumatic performance required solving two key challenges," said Bernd Fleischmann, Chief Technology Officer for KOKI Group. "We achieved this with the Air Spring Drive System Plus™, which combines the proven air spring architecture with a new Enhanced Lift Mechanism that doubles shot frequency compared to the previous generation."

The new nailers will be available through independent tool distributors in November 2026, with configurations, pricing, and availability varying by country. Detailed specifications and purchase information can be found at https://hikoki-powertools.eu/.
