High Tech Solutions, a subsidiary of BTX Precision, has expanded its aerospace and defense manufacturing capabilities by acquiring JCM Engineering. The acquisition, announced on September 15, 2026, brings significant large-format machining capacity to High Tech Solutions, enhancing its ability to produce complex components for the aerospace, defense, and space industries.

Based in Ontario, California, JCM Engineering is an established precision manufacturer with a long history of serving key OEM programs in the aerospace and defense sectors. The company operates from a 140,000-square-foot facility equipped with over 40 CNC machines and maintains AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality certifications, as well as ITAR registration. JCM’s expertise in manufacturing wing skins, spars, beams, pylon components, and other complex structural parts aligns well with High Tech Solutions' existing capabilities in precision aerospace components and assemblies.

Brent McConville, President of High Tech Solutions, emphasized the strategic importance of the acquisition. "JCM is a critical addition to our portfolio, significantly expanding our manufacturing envelope to include large-format machining capabilities. This acquisition will enable us to support a broader range of aerospace, defense, and space applications, from precision details and assemblies to large structural components."

The integration of JCM Engineering into High Tech Solutions is part of BTX Precision's broader strategy to build a network of specialized manufacturing businesses serving mission-critical markets. McConville noted that JCM will continue to operate as a stand-alone center of excellence in its current location, maintaining its technical team and operational independence. This approach ensures that JCM's established capabilities will be preserved while leveraging shared resources and customer relationships within the BTX Precision platform.

The acquisition is expected to bolster High Tech Solutions' presence in Southern California, a region known for its significant aerospace and defense manufacturing activities. This move aligns with the company's goal of expanding its manufacturing footprint to better serve its diverse customer base.

In summary, the acquisition of JCM Engineering by High Tech Solutions marks a significant step in the company's growth strategy, enhancing its manufacturing capabilities and positioning it to meet the evolving demands of the aerospace, defense, and space industries.
