HeroZona Foundation Hosts National Leadership & Public Safety Forum

The HeroZona Foundation is hosting its National Leadership & Public Safety Forum on September 19, 2026, in Washington, D.C. The event, held during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's 55th Annual Legislative Conference, aims to bring together Arizona's law enforcement leaders and national figures to discuss strategies for community safety and public service.
Scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the National Law Enforcement Museum, the forum will feature presentations and discussions on the current state and future directions of public safety and leadership. Phoenix Vice Mayor and District 8 Council Member Kesha Hodge Washington, the first Black woman elected to the Phoenix City Council, will serve as mistress of ceremonies.
The event will also include Arizona's 21st annual Nonpartisan Brunch, a tradition that has spanned more than two decades. Phoenix Tools 4 School, The Bridge Forum, Holiday Bike Giveaways, MLK Celebrating the Dream, Play It Forward, Veterans Reach to Teach, and the HeroZona Forgotten Heroes Breakfast are among the community-focused initiatives led by the HeroZona Foundation.
The forum is presented by Peregrine, a leading data integration platform that supports public safety agencies in making data-driven decisions.

The program will be moderated by Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis Jr., a civil rights icon and environmental advocate, and will include presentations from national law enforcement leaders. The forum will provide an opportunity for Arizona attendees to hear directly from these leaders on the current state and future of public safety and leadership across the country.
The HeroZona Foundation is a non-profit organization that empowers heroes in the community through entrepreneurship, employment, and education. The group works with veterans, first responders, and those who bring social good to future generations and underserved communities. The foundation's mission is to create opportunities for the brave men and women who serve their country and community every day.
The event is supported by APS, SRP, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, the Arizona Office of African-American Affairs, the Arizona Department of Public Safety, SECURUS Technologies, Motorola, and the Office of Vice Mayor Kesha Hodge Washington.
