HEALWELL AI Reaches 100,000 Patient Consents for WELLTRUST

HEALWELL AI Inc, a leading healthcare artificial intelligence company, has announced a significant milestone with WELL Health Technologies Corp, a digital healthcare company. WELLTRUST, a patient consent database managed by WELL, has reached 100,000 patient consents since its launch in February 2026. This achievement underscores the growing interest among patients in participating in clinical trials and research studies.

WELLTRUST connects consenting patients with life sciences companies, including pharmaceutical and biotech firms, and contract research organizations (CROs), by matching trial protocols against the consented patient population. The platform uses HEALWELL's DARWEN AI platform to identify potential participants who align with specific trial criteria.

Patient consents are captured and managed through OceanMD, a patient engagement platform developed by WELLSTAR Technologies Corp, a subsidiary of WELL. Patients can provide consent during the digital check-in process, and their responses are recorded directly in their medical charts. This ensures a structured and revocable consent record, maintaining patient privacy and transparency.

The WELLTRUST platform is part of a broader technology roadmap aimed at building a scalable patient network. WELL and HEALWELL plan to expand EMR connectivity across WELL's clinic network and introduce new digital consent channels. The goal is to scale the consented patient population to approximately one million over the coming quarters.

This technology creates a more efficient model, moving trial recruitment upstream and identifying potential patients before a trial is placed."

Participant recruitment remains a significant driver of clinical trial delays. WELLTRUST inverts the conventional recruitment model by maintaining a standing, consented patient population that can be matched to protocols in advance. WELL's clinics will reach out to interested patients and confirm their willingness to participate. If a patient agrees, WELL forwards the information to the trial sponsor, generating a pre-screened list of suitable participants.

WELL and HEALWELL are advancing WELLTRUST through a three-phase technology roadmap. Phase 1 focuses on accelerating clinic activations and streamlining in-clinic and digital consent capture. Phase 2 aims to expand EMR connectivity and extend consent capture into diagnostics, telehealth, and patient app experiences. Phase 3 involves scaling the platform to approximately one million consented patients and launching a full "Trial Recruitment Solved" offering for trial sponsors and providers. The company also plans to pursue international expansion, including U.S. market entry and European regulatory readiness.
