The Health Institute, the functional healthcare company founded by Dr. Josh Axe, has released a new book that translates its clinically-tested cellular health framework into a guide for readers. Titled "Heal Your Cells: Reversing the Irreversible - A Proven Plan to Heal Faster, Reclaim Energy and Unlock Longevity," the book, co-authored by Axe and fellow THI physician Dr. Will Cole, is set to hit shelves on September 8 from Avery.
The book asserts that common health issues such as fatigue, brain fog, insulin resistance, hormone disruption, and chronic conditions are not separate maladies but signals of the same underlying problem, cells that have ceased to function properly. The doctors walk readers through the underlying causes of these symptoms and demonstrate how simple lifestyle changes can make a significant difference.
Jennifer Ostman, Head of Coaching at The Health Institute, explains that the organization frequently encounters individuals who have tried conventional methods but have seen little to no improvement. "We shift to the cellular level when a traditional plan that should have worked didn't," she says. "People come to us often having done all the right things with good practitioners, but stalled out or failed to improve at all."
The Health Institute has seen a surge in demand for holistic, functional healthcare as more people seek alternatives to conventional medicine. Stacey, a patient who arrived at an emergency room unable to walk, is a prime example. After undergoing standard testing that offered no answers, she sought care at The Health Institute. Deeper bloodwork helped identify root causes, and following a customized, root-cause plan, she experienced significant improvement.
Ostman notes, "One of the most common things we hear is some version of 'my labs came back fine, but I still feel terrible.'" She adds, "That sentiment is often what brings people to us, and it's what our practitioners are trained to look past. The blood markers we look at are no different from what a primary care physician might look at, it's how we use the information and our approach to care that differs greatly."
"Heal Your Cells" delves into why our cells are weaker than ever before and how we can support them through nutrition, plant-based medicine, peptides, physical movement, and more. The book also outlines specific protocols to reverse cellular aging in various areas of the body, all grounded in The Health Institute's clinical approach.
According to Adam Suttle, Chief Executive Officer at THI, "Our mission is simple: we want to help people feel better. We are honored to be part of Heal Your Cells and hope the book helps many more people heal, one cell at a time."
When addressing root causes with a THI practitioner, improvements were noted across key areas. Ninety percent of patients reported reduced chronic symptoms, 92% felt more energized, and 95% experienced weight loss. The Health Institute continues to emphasize the importance of investigating and addressing root causes that are often overlooked in conventional healthcare.
