Happy Belly Food Group Inc., a leading consolidator of emerging restaurant brands, celebrated a significant milestone on Saturday, September 5, 2026, with the grand openings of its 50th and 51st Heal Wellness locations. The 50th location is situated at 255 King St, Unit 6, in Waterloo, Ontario, directly across from Wilfred Laurier University and the University of Waterloo. The 51st location opened at 327 Chemin du Bord-du-Lac Lakeshore in Pointe-Claire, Quebec.

The Waterloo location is the result of a strategic partnership with Alex Rechichi and Bedford Park Capital, who entered into a multi-unit franchise agreement for 45 locations across Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. This agreement marks the largest such deal in Heal Wellness's history and underscores the brand's rapid expansion and growth. Rechichi's commitment to Heal and the progress made together reflect the company's growth model, which emphasizes experienced partners, strong brands, and disciplined execution.

Heal Wellness, a fast-growing quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand, specializes in fresh smoothie bowls, açaí bowls, and smoothies, built around clean ingredients and a better-for-you lifestyle. The brand's mission is to provide quick, fresh wellness foods that support a busy and active lifestyle. With meticulous selection of superfood ingredients, Heal offers a diverse range of products, including acai smoothie bowls, smoothies, and super-seed grain bowls. These items are crafted with real fruit and enriched with superfoods like acai, pitaya, goji berries, chia seeds, and more.

As of the openings, Heal Wellness has 51 locations open, with over 157 more in development. Sean Black, Chief Executive Officer of Happy Belly Food Group, expressed his excitement about the brand's continued expansion. "Reaching our 50th Heal Wellness location is a proud milestone for our team, our franchise partners, and everyone who has helped build this brand," he said. "It is especially meaningful to celebrate store number 50 with Alex Rechichi and Bedford Park Capital. Their commitment to Heal, and the progress we are making together, reflect exactly what our growth model is built on."

Black further noted, "Heal Wellness continues to expand rapidly across Canada and into the United States, solidifying its position as a leading açaí and smoothie bowl brand. With 51 locations open and more than 157 in development, Heal remains a key driver of growth within Happy Belly's broader portfolio of emerging brands. We continue to build a predictable and disciplined growth engine designed to create long-term shareholder value."

The company's vision for continued expansion is supported by its strong franchise partnerships and a clear growth strategy. "We are just getting started," Black added. "The future of Heal Wellness is bright, and we are committed to bringing fresh, healthy options to more communities across North America."

With its focus on clean ingredients and a holistic approach to wellness, Heal Wellness is poised to continue its rapid growth and expand its presence in the competitive QSR market. The openings of locations 50 and 51 mark a significant step in the brand's journey and serve as a testament to the company's dedication to health and wellness.
