GUELPH, Ontario, Sept. 22, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Hammond Power Solutions Inc., a leading provider of magnetic and power electronic solutions, has announced a significant expansion of its manufacturing capabilities in the United States. The company has signed a long-term lease for a new manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, Texas, which will significantly enhance its ability to serve U.S.-based customers requiring large standard and custom-engineered transformers. This strategic move is expected to improve the proximity to key customers, shorten delivery distances for certain products, and bolster the company’s position in core end markets.

The new facility will play a crucial role in the company’s North American operations, complementing its existing manufacturing platforms in Canada and Mexico.

Production activities at the Fort Worth facility are expected to commence in stages beginning in the fourth quarter of 2027. Once the initial production phase commences, the facility is anticipated to add approximately CAD $250 million of manufacturing capacity, based on anticipated demand and normal course operating assumptions. HPS expects to invest approximately CAD $50 million to equip and commission the initial production phase, which it anticipates funding through its existing cash and credit facilities.

The strategic location of the Fort Worth facility is further underscored by its potential to support additional capacity over time. Subject to market demand, future capital investment and other relevant factors, the site could support total annual manufacturing capacity of approximately CAD $400 million. This expansion is part of a broader strategy to enhance the company’s manufacturing flexibility, increase its ability to scale efficiently, and reinforce the quality, consistency, and reliability that define HPS.

Hammond Power Solutions Inc. is a leading provider of magnetic and power electronic solutions, with manufacturing plants in North America, Europe, and Asia, and sells its products around the globe. The company’s shares are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and trade under the symbol HPS.A.
