Haivision introduces CellLink 5G for reliable live video contribution

MONTREAL, Sept. 03, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Haivision, a global leader in mission-critical, real-time video networking and visual collaboration solutions, has introduced CellLink 5G, a high-performance external cellular-bonding modem and antenna array. The new product leverages MIMO 2x2 technology to enhance connectivity for live video contribution from challenging environments, ensuring reliable transmission across Haivision's live video ecosystem.
CellLink 5G is compatible with Haivision's Falkon, Pro, Rack, and Air mobile video transmitters, as well as the Makito ONE video transport platform. It provides resilient cellular connectivity, enabling broadcasters to contribute live video from virtually anywhere, even in demanding network conditions. The modem features three 5G cellular modems, each supporting a physical SIM or eSIM, and two antennas per modem for MIMO 2x2 technology, ensuring strong signal performance for high-bandwidth transmissions.
The device is connected to Haivision encoders and transmitters via Ethernet and is housed in a weather-resistant enclosure with magnetic pads and thread mounts. This design allows the CellLink 5G to be placed where the signal is strongest, on vehicles, poles, or buildings, resulting in more resilient video contribution in dynamic environments. When paired with Haivision transmitters, CellLink 5G can increase the number of available modems, providing greater cellular bonding resiliency for live video contribution workflows. Even in remote, crowded, or unpredictable network environments, the modems ensure uninterrupted and high-quality broadcast video streaming.
