MONTREAL, Sept. 03, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Haivision, a leading provider of real-time video networking solutions, has expanded its Makito ONE video transport platform to support live video contribution over bonded cellular networks. This integration, achieved through seamless collaboration with Haivision’s CellLink 5G modem and antenna array, enhances the platform’s flexibility and resilience, making it a vital tool for broadcasters operating in remote, mobile, or unpredictable network environments.

Makito ONE, a low-latency, dual-channel encoder/decoder designed for high-quality 4K, HD, and high-dynamic range (HDR) video contributions, now leverages cellular connectivity for live production. This capability is particularly significant for broadcasters who require robust and reliable video transmission in challenging network conditions. The Makito ONE can operate over Ethernet-connected networks or seamlessly switch to bonded cellular networks, ensuring continuous high-quality video delivery.

The CellLink 5G modem and antenna array, featuring three 5G modems and dual antennas for MIMO 2x2 performance, is designed for easy installation on vehicles, poles, or buildings. It connects to the Makito ONE via standard Ethernet, enabling broadcasters to build robust contribution workflows with enhanced throughput and network load balancing. In scenarios where public internet is prioritized but experiences congestion, the system can switch to cellular networks as a backup, ensuring uninterrupted video quality.

Jean-Marc Racine, Chief Product Officer at Haivision, emphasized the importance of resilient connectivity in live video contribution. "CellLink 5G extends our live broadcast contribution ecosystem, providing our customers with flexible deployment options across field production, mobile broadcast units, and temporary event sites. This integration ensures continuous and reliable transmission over public cellular networks, enhancing the overall video quality for any production."

This integration marks a significant step in Haivision’s commitment to providing comprehensive solutions for mobile and remote production. The CellLink 5G is also compatible with Haivision’s other mobile video transmitters, including Falkon, Haivision Pro, and Haivision Air, creating a unified ecosystem for resilient cellular bonding.

Haivision will showcase the Makito ONE and CellLink 5G at IBC2026, demonstrating the company’s ongoing efforts to support the future of IP video transformation. Visitors to Hall 2, Stand 2.B32, can experience firsthand how these solutions enhance live video contribution in diverse and challenging environments.
