Guardian Exploration Inc. has completed its 2026 exploration program at its 100%-owned Mount Cameron Project, an exploration-stage silver-lead-zinc project located in the Mayo Mining District of central Yukon, Canada. The program, which included the company's first diamond drilling at the Clark occurrence, detailed mapping and sampling of the Marten occurrence, and reconnaissance geological mapping of previously unmapped areas, marks an important step forward for Guardian.
The exploration program involved the completion of four diamond drill holes (CL26-01 to CL26-04) at the Clark occurrence, totaling 338.5 meters. These holes tested silver-lead-zinc mineralization in the area. The company is awaiting assay results from these newly drilled samples.
At the Marten occurrence, a large mineralized outcrop next to Drill Pad 1 was cleaned, washed, mapped, and chip sampled. This outcrop exposes a shear zone with iron oxides and galena, estimated to be at least 4.5 meters wide in outcrop. The true thickness of the mineralization is unknown. The company has also traced the Marten shear zone along strike, re-excavating historical trenches that exposed the shear zone over approximately 60-65 meters at the surface. Historical drilling suggests the shear extends a further 60 meters northeast of the trench exposures, for a total of approximately 120 meters along a southwest-northeast trend.
Approximately 50 boxes of 1970s and 1987 drill core were recovered, reboxed, relogged, and resampled to support verification of historical results. The company plans to use these samples for 48-element ICP-MS analysis, followed by gold determination by PhotonAssay at Paragon Labs in Vancouver. Certified reference materials and blanks are inserted into the sample stream at 10% to ensure quality control.
In addition to the drilling and sampling, Guardian conducted a helicopter-borne magnetic and radiometric survey over 669 line-kilometers at 50-meter line spacing, covering 30.3 square kilometers. A 12-square-kilometer LiDAR survey was also completed, and an independent interpretation was provided by Mitre Geophysics (Australia).
The Mount Cameron Project hosts several historical high-grade mineral occurrences, including the Clark (MINFILE 106D 011) and Cameron (MINFILE 106D 012) occurrences. The Project comprises 154 Yukon quartz mining claims covering approximately 3,017 hectares and hosts both structurally controlled silver-lead-zinc vein mineralization and carbonate replacement deposit (CRD)-style mineralization.
Guardian is prioritizing the Western Claims area, where late-season mapping identified sheared limestone and metasediment at the western boundary of the claim block. This area may host previously unrecognized silver-lead-zinc mineralization. The company also confirmed a thick limestone package continuing east above the Cameron occurrence, with mapping and radiometric bedrock signatures indicating an estimated additional 7-10 square kilometers of limestone beyond what historical regional mapping shows.
For 2027, Guardian plans to conduct systematic geological mapping and geochemistry of the full claim block, followed by trenching, ground geophysics, and drill testing of priority targets. The company is committed to building a respectful, long-term relationship with the First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun and the Mayo community through collaboration, transparency, and shared benefits.
Guardian Exploration Inc. remains focused on advancing its portfolio of exploration assets in Yukon, Nunavut, and Southeast Alaska, targeting district-scale opportunities with significant discovery potential.
