On September 22, 2026, an exclusive gathering of fifty industry insiders will take place at Amazónico Monte-Carlo, just before the Monaco Yacht Show opens its doors to the public. The event, hosted by the Global Superyacht Forum (GSYF) and Capital Variation, aims to foster meaningful connections among key players in the superyacht industry.
The cocktail event, titled "GSYF Curated Sunset Cocktail," is set to begin at 6 PM on Tuesday, September 22. The venue, located on the Place du Casino in Monaco, will serve as a backdrop for intimate conversations and networking opportunities. The guest list, personally curated by the founders of both organizations, includes family offices, yacht owners, shipyard principals, investors, and diplomatic representatives.
Sekip Hardal, the founder of GSYF, explains the rationale behind the event: "Monaco Yacht Show week is the most important and crowded time in our industry. We created the opposite: one terrace, fifty of the right people, and the calm before the storm. The most valuable conversations in this world don't happen on a show floor. They happen at golden hour, glass in hand, before the noise starts."
Margareth Gonzalez, founder of Capital Variation, echoes Hardal's sentiment, emphasizing the importance of building genuine relationships: "Genuine relationships are the rarest luxury of all. This evening is designed for exactly that. The family offices and principals we bring together don't want another event. They want the right room."
The event marks the second stop on GSYF's global circuit, following its inaugural meeting in Miami during Art Basel in December 2026. The platform plans to host additional gatherings in Davos in January 2027, the Miami Annual Meeting in April 2027, and a Latin American arc reaching Rio de Janeiro and Cartagena. The final summit is scheduled for Bodrum, Turkey, in September 2027.
Hardal elaborates on the platform's vision: "Monaco Yacht Show week is the most important week in our industry, and the most crowded. We created the opposite. One terrace, fifty of the right people, and the calm before it all begins. The most valuable conversations in this world don't happen on a show floor. They happen at golden hour, glass in hand, before the noise starts."
