CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 18, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Greenland Mines Ltd, a Nasdaq-listed resource development and mining company, celebrated a landmark security agreement announced by the United States, Denmark, and Greenland. The agreement, which provides for a substantial U.S. security presence in Greenland, limits the ability of adversaries to establish military positions or make sensitive investments on the island. This move is seen as a significant step in strengthening the long-term security of Greenland and the broader Arctic region.

Greenland Mines is uniquely positioned to benefit from this strategic importance. The company operates two major mineral assets in Greenland: Sarfartoq, a potential source of neodymium-praseodymium rare earths, and Skaergaard, a large-scale palladium-platinum-gold and vanadium-bearing mineral system. The Sarfartoq project, in particular, is expected to play a significant role in securing critical minerals for defense and advanced technology. According to the company, the Sarfartoq's Initial Assessment includes a high-case pre-tax NPV of approximately $2.05 billion. At 2025 consumption levels, the planned annual NdPr oxide production from Sarfartoq would represent approximately 34% of all NdPr oxide refined outside China.

The company's strategy is centered on building a multi-asset platform with exposure to rare earth magnet materials, precious metals, and select midstream processing opportunities. Greenland Mines believes that its assets can contribute to the security of critical minerals required for defense, advanced technology, and energy security. The Sarfartoq and Skaergaard projects are integral to this vision, as they offer significant potential for rare earth and precious metal production.

Greenland Mines Ltd is focused on the development of the Skaergaard Project in southeast Greenland and the Sarfartoq neodymium-praseodymium rare earths project in southwest Greenland. The company's forward-looking statements are subject to risks and uncertainties, including exploration, resource-estimation, metallurgical, engineering, environmental, social, permitting, logistical, infrastructure, financing, commodity-price, market, counterparty, and execution risks. The company undertakes no obligation to update any forward-looking statement except as required by applicable law.
