LOS ANGELES, Oct. 2, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Green Water and Power (GWP), a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions, has partnered with Goodwill Southern California (Goodwill SoCal) to offer on-the-job training in the electrical field. This initiative, part of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA), aims to provide individuals with little or no prior work experience the opportunity to gain valuable, marketable skills that can lead to long-term employment.

The partnership is designed for those who are currently unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week. Participants must be eligible to work in the United States and, for males, must have registered with Selective Services. They must also provide proof of address within Los Angeles County. The training program will equip participants with hands-on experience in the electrical trade, preparing them for a sustainable career.

GWP, with more than a decade of renewable energy experience, has installed more than 15,000 electric vehicle (EV) chargers nationwide. Goodwill SoCal, known for its mission to transform lives through the power of work, serves individuals with barriers to employment by providing education, training, work experience, and job placement services. Each year, Goodwill SoCal prepares and places thousands of individuals into sustainable employment through its programs and services offered at three campuses, Career Resource Centers, WorkSource Centers, Youth and Veteran Employment Programs throughout Los Angeles (north of Rosecrans Ave.), Riverside, and San Bernardino counties.

Goodwill SoCal supports its mission with proceeds generated from more than 100 stores and freestanding attended donation centers. The organization spends 95 percent of its budget on programs and services. Last year, Goodwill SoCal diverted over 165 million pounds of reusable or recyclable goods from landfills, demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability.

Interested individuals can learn more and start the application process by visiting GWP's website at www.greenwaterandpower.com or contacting Goodwill SoCal's America's Job Center of California (AJCC).
