Great Pacific Gold Corp. (TSXV: GPAC) (OTCQX: GPGCF) (FSE: 0B3) ("Great Pacific Gold", "GPAC", or the "Company") has announced results from the maiden drill program at the Kasie Ridge target ("Kasie Ridge") on its flagship Wild Dog Project in East New Britain Province, Papua New Guinea. Both holes, drilled approximately 315 meters apart, have confirmed continuity within the Project's largest preserved advanced argillic alteration system and have defined clear geological and geochemical vectors to guide follow-up work.
The results from the two holes, KAS-01A (595.7 meters) and KAS-02 (346.6 meters), intersected correlated silica-rich and advanced argillic alteration 315 meters apart. KAS-01A ended within the strongest sulphide-rich alteration encountered, and the system remains open at depth. Both holes intersected a vertically zoned sequence from propylitic rocks through a pyrite-rich phyllic transition into massive chalcedonic silica, with intense silicification of advanced argillic and phyllic alteration below approximately 336 meters. KAS-01A ended at 595.7 meters in sulphide-bearing alteration, leaving the system open below.
The southern hole, KAS-02, intersected correlated silica-rich, argillic and phyllic alteration, including sulphidic silicified tuffs and hydrothermal breccias. A massive chalcedonic silica unit at approximately 200-211 meters correlates with the KAS-01A silica body, and advanced argillic alteration continues to approximately 316 meters. These correlations demonstrate continuity across 315 meters while also showing local structural variation.
The Company has received 105 quantitative XRD results, spanning 2.5 to 595.6 meters in KAS-01A and 45.8 to 139.4 meters in KAS-02. The mineralogy is systematically zoned and matches the logged alteration. In KAS-01A, propylitic assemblages give way downhole to quartz-mica-pyrite, then to alunite-pyrophyllite-zunyite-diaspore alteration, with topaz and andalusite appearing in the deepest approximately 190 meters. Comparable acid alteration is present in KAS-02, 315 meters to the south.
