Graphene Manufacturing Group Ltd. (GMG) is set to host a live fireside chat on Thursday, September 17, 2026, to discuss the latest advancements in its G®CELLS graphene battery technology and the launch of its G®FLUID product. The event, which will be moderated by Cory Fleck of the KE Report, aims to provide an update on the company’s progress and future plans.
Craig Nicol, the CEO and Managing Director of GMG, will lead the discussion. The fireside chat will cover several key areas, including the recently announced long-life cycling data for the G®CELLS battery. According to GMG, a 1 Ah G®CELLS battery completed 489 charge-and-discharge cycles with no measurable performance reduction, as of September 4, 2026. This data was tested by the Battery Innovation Center of Indiana under GMG's Joint Development Agreement with Rio Tinto. In comparison, a benchmark Lithium Titanate Oxide cell declined to 86% of its original capacity after 64 cycles under the same profile.
The discussion will also delve into the advancements in the G®CELLS program, focusing on fast charging, cycle life, and thermal performance. GMG will outline the work ahead on energy-density optimization, larger cell formats, and the pathway toward commercialization.
In addition to the battery technology, the fireside chat will highlight the launch of G®FLUID, a patent-pending graphene water-based additive for data center and industrial cooling circuits. Preliminary internal testing showed approximately 20% higher heat transfer, and independent laboratory testing under EN 1276 showed up to 87% anti-microbial performance.
GMG has also made strides in expanding its sales and distribution network. The company announced the launch of a dedicated Asia Pacific Sales Team based in India, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore, in addition to Australia. This move is aimed at advancing commercial opportunities across the region.
Furthermore, GMG has secured a distribution agreement with Blackwoods, Australia's leading industrial and safety solutions supplier. Under this agreement, Blackwoods will distribute GMG’s G®LUBRICANT and THERMAL-XR® products across Australia.
The fireside chat will also provide an update on GMG’s broader commercial and operational developments. The company is focused on de-risking and developing commercial scale-up capabilities and securing market applications. In the energy savings segment, GMG has initially focused on a graphene-enhanced heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC-R) coating, which is now being marketed into other applications including electronic heat sinks, industrial process plants, and data centers. GMG has also developed a graphene lubricant additive focused on saving liquid fuels, initially for diesel engines.
In the energy storage segment, GMG is working collaboratively, with financial support from the Australian Government, to progress R&D and commercialization of graphene ion batteries. GMG has also developed a graphene additive slurry aimed at improving the performance of lithium-ion batteries.
The event is open to the public and registration is encouraged. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions throughout the discussion.
