Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives, an award-winning boutique luxury resort in North Malé Atoll, is marking the beginning of its 2026 festive season by introducing a Thanksgiving celebration on November 26. The resort, located just 20 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport, is responding to growing bookings from the US market, offering a unique way for Americans living abroad to celebrate the holiday.
The Thanksgiving celebration at Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives will take place at FireDoor, the resort’s signature overwater fine-dining restaurant. The special evening will feature a contemporary culinary interpretation of the occasion, with a menu that includes roasted shrimp, home-cured salmon, lobster with mushroom ravioli, sautéed Hokkaido scallop, beetroot risotto with feta cheese, and sous-vide lamb shank, followed by a chocolate dessert. The event is exclusively available to resident guests and will run from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
General Manager Raffaele Solferino emphasized the importance of gathering and sharing during the holiday season.
The resort offers a unique backdrop for Thanksgiving, with its overwater Reef Pool Villas providing direct access to a vibrant house reef. Guests can enjoy a long-haul escape with a short final journey, combining the spirit of Thanksgiving with the opportunity to enjoy a longer holiday in the Maldives. The resort features 120 beachfront and overwater villas, including villas with private pools, complemented by a personalized Lifestyle Host service, an accessible house reef, an overwater spa, and a collection of experiences designed around connection with people, nature, and island life.
For travelers planning a Thanksgiving escape, Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives is offering 30% savings on stays of four nights or more. This promotion allows guests to combine the celebration with a longer Maldives holiday. Additionally, the resort is offering 15% savings on eligible stays booked within 21 days of arrival, providing flexibility for spontaneous escapes.
The Thanksgiving celebration is part of the resort's broader festive season, which will continue through to the New Year. This year's Thanksgiving marks the start of a series of events, including the Christmas tree lighting ceremony on December 8, followed by a festive programme that brings together seasonal dining, wellness experiences, ocean adventures, family activities, and special Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations.
From relaxed days beside the lagoon to memorable evenings under the stars, the festive season offers guests the freedom to celebrate at their own pace, whether seeking time together, new experiences, or a little of both.
