Rouyn-Noranda, Québec, September 28, 2026, TheNewswire - Granada Gold Mine Inc., a company focused on the exploration and development of its 100%-owned Granada Gold Property near Rouyn-Noranda, Québec, has appointed J.W. Dumont as its new President. Dumont will lead the company’s efforts in financing, investor engagement, and strategic-partner discussions, with a primary focus on advancing the Granada Gold Project.

Dumont brings a wealth of experience to the role. He is a finance and operations executive with a background in capital markets, strategic finance, and gold mining operations. At GoldFinX, Dumont progressed from Vice President, Finance and Operations to Chief Financial Officer and Head of Operations, helping develop the company from an early-stage financing platform into an operating gold business in Côte d’Ivoire. His responsibilities included capital allocation, budgeting, and financial controls, as well as operating oversight across two concurrent mining sites and a peak workforce of 87 employees. Dumont has also structured joint-venture and operating partnerships with publicly listed counterparties and worked with international investors on growth financing.

Dumont’s appointment follows the company’s 2026 mineral resource update, supported by an amended technical report dated September 9, 2026. The update described mineralization open along strike and at depth, with resources delineated over approximately two kilometres of an estimated 5.5-kilometre east, west mineralized structure. The company also reported that approximately 20% of the property had been explored.

Dumont will work with the Board and the company’s technical and financial teams to recommend spending priorities. His initial priorities will be to plan and finance exploration and drilling to test potential resource extensions along strike and at depth. In parallel, he will work with the company’s technical team to assess staged development options, including the technical, economic, and permitting requirements for the proposed on-site gravity-concentration facility and bulk-sampling program.

The proposed on-site gravity-concentration facility was outlined in the May 26 and June 30, 2026 project updates. Dumont will assess financing alternatives appropriate to each stage, including potential strategic investment, royalty, offtake, or prepayment structures. His objective is to preserve financial flexibility while limiting shareholder dilution where practicable.

The company also intends to broaden its Board and strategic-advisory capacity, with an emphasis on mining development, financing, capital markets, and community relations. Granada Gold Mine Inc. is focused on the exploration and development of its 100%-owned Granada Gold Property near Rouyn-Noranda, Québec, adjacent to the prolific Cadillac Break. The property hosts the former Granada gold mine and a mineralized system with potential for further exploration along strike and at depth. The company is pursuing a staged development approach alongside resource growth, building on its existing authorizations and completed technical work.
